Stuart Floyd-Ellis signs for Pontypridd

Pontypridd RFC are delighted to announce the signing of Stuart Floyd-Ellis from Bridgend Ravens ahead of the Club’s 2024/25 Welsh Premiership campaign.

The 26 year old former Ospreys academy centre, who can also play on the wing will add invaluable experience to Ponty’s midfield next season. Stuart is a product of the Bridgend Athletic club who brought up his century of Ravens’ appearances against Llandovery in November last season.

Raring to go with Pontypridd, Stuart said: “I’m excited to have signed for Ponty and it’s motivated me to train hard this off season so I can impress. It’s a club I’ve always thought highly of and admired. Ponty are a gritty side that never gives in and who always look to attack which suits my running game. I’m buzzing to get out there at Sardis in the new colours and the supporters are class! I think it’s going to be a top season in both the league and cup.”

As equally pleased to have secured Stuart’s services for next season, Ponty Head Coach Chris Dicomidis said: “We are really pleased to get Stu onboard. He’s a player with a vast amount of Premiership experience with Bridgend. He was looking for a change of scenery and we were more than happy he chose to continue his career in black and white. Stuart is an exciting attacking option who will suit the way we want to play next season, and he’s also a bit of an older head so will help bring on the younger boys within the squad. I hope he enjoys his rugby with us.”
