USW edge home win over Exeter

USW secured a valuable home win by 21pts to 17 over Exeter University 2nds on Wednesday evening 1st November.

The result pushed USW up to fourth place in the BUCS South A table, keeping alive their aspirations of promotion to the top flight in what is turning out to be a very competitive league.

USW outscored their opponents by three tries to two and held out defiantly in the final phase of play to protect their winning lead.

Try scorers for USW against Exeter were Rhodri Smith, Ross Barnes and Sion Edwards, with Callum Hall converting all three scores.

Nominated as City West Commercials man of the match was Foard Cooksley (pictured).

USW next play Bath University 2nds away on Wednesday 8th November.
