USW exit BUCs Vase at semi final stage

University of South Wales’ impressive run in the BUCS Vase came to an end on Wednesday 14th March as they exited the competition at the semi-final stage.

An arduous trip to face Durham University was always going to test USW’s capabilities to the full, and so it proved as they went down to defeat by 49pts to 19.

USW had recorded an impressive 51pts to 32 home win over Loughborough 2nds in the last 16 round, then given a walkover over Leeds University in the quarter finals.

Their victory takes Durham into the final of the BUCs Vase where they will face Hartpury 2nds, who defeated Nottingham University by 39pts to 0 in their semi final tie.

The BUCs Vase final is due to be played on Wednesday 21st March at the neutral venue of Nottingham.
